The guy is a proven SEC head coach. He knows how to win ball games, and if he comes here he would have a grudge against several of our SEC west brethren. If you think Ears is another retread think again.

.......my first choice, I'd still take him. He doesn't inspire me as much as names like Petersen or Patterson, but it's damn hard to argue against the kind of success TT has had. It's also hard to argue against his vast SEC experience. What he did at Ole Miss was always what especially impressed me, and he did it under tougher circumstances than what Croom faced at MSU.

He said he thinks it's "50/50" on whether Tubberville is out at Auburn but that if he is he could well be coming to 'Vegas.

Gene says enough questionable things to pick at without totally making something up.

Did you see that offense we played earlier this year? I think the score was 3-2. That's not the type of coach Byrne will be going for.

...I'll give Swindoll the benefit of the doubt on that one. He posted as a response to someone's question at 10:30 that AU and Tubbs were still in talks and that it could go either way.

I think he is a really good coach, but I'm surprised at what he allowed to happen this season. He could be our Nutt, but a better recruiter, or he could be on the downslope of his career. I don't know. I'll take him over Little Dooley, however.

All around, I think Tubs is a good coach. However, if his offense sucked at AU......it would suck more at State with that talent. Also, Tubs just doesn't fit at State. To much history with him and not to mention you replace the names State/OM and Tubs/Nutt and it would be 2007 again.

If I am Bryne, and Tubs is truly available, Tubs is down the list.

Exactly. His offense has struggled at Auburn, with a few exceptions. He cannot seem to make the right OC hire.
