Thanks for the kind words Topper. Too bad our boys didn't wake up until it was too late.fantastic. I put this field and its surrounding area up there with the best in IL.
Geneva's QB is going to be a name to watch.
Well, it didn't help matters much when the brand-spankin-new speaker system starting sounding like a distorted Buddy Rich was playing on the press box roof before crapping out altogether.I really did enjoy the atmosphere at Geneva. All it was missing was the smell of burning leaves and some cold crisp air. My only complaint is the speakers on the visitors side are hard to hear. But the facilities where nice parking was easy. People where super friendly. I'd say this I think JCA will be better off for this game. This is a great lesson early in the season to learn. When you have a team on the ropes finish them off. My hats off to the coaching staff and the players in Geneva. Not easy to keep fighting when your down 27 in the fourth quater. Great job from them playing hard.
I was impressed with the facilities. However, JCA fans are not used to road venues with that amount of visitor seating or concessions and permanent restrooms (not porta-potties) on the visitor side. This is probably more common for suburban 7A/8A venues.
I have to give props to the JCA student section. Was pleasantly surprised at the number of students at the game. It may speak to the popularity of Jaws inside the JCA building. Joliet to Geneva on a Friday night is not a short or easy trip.
