Gents, I believe we have found some use for Norris

Apparently it's position players get to pitch night

First Norris, then Bradford. Combined less than 5 total innings pitched this year. But so far, so good.

People forget that Norris pitched two years ago as a true frosh and

pitched very well. I was surprised that he didn't get to pitch any last year before the leg injury. I knew this year with all the arm we had that he probably wouldn't get much time on the hill but I thought he would get some. Good to see him out there and work effectively. We could use him down the stretch run. He's probably the hardest thrower we have.

He was consistently in the low 90s tonight...I'd say it's hardly an accident he threw well...

I still say he's been hurt. The knee injury really set back his pitching. He'll be a force for us next year.

I was very impressed with him tonight. He hit 94 and I think Holder is the only other one to do that. Not to mention, his slider was pretty awesome. He is definitely going to be an option especially during the tournament next week. What I am more impressed with is his post game interview. He said he knew he wasn't contributing with the bat and that he went to Thompson to see if he could find a way to be useful again. Said he worked for 3 or 4 weeks with Butch on pitching and getting his arm back in shape and all that jazz. To me, it's just impressive that he would go to something different than what he was used to so that he could get back on the field. Some other arrogant ******** on the team such as cough cough...Frazier, probably wouldn't do anything near that. He would just continue to suck and act like he is a baseball God. Anyway, just thought Norris was all around impressive. Really glad our players have the mindset that they would change everything just to contribute. That will go far in the long run.
