Exactly what was he referring to? Seriously, I'm not sure I catch what he means. Did he mean that MS is a racist state? Or that we don't have athletes here? Or that the athletes are racist? Or that all our athletes are retards? Seriously, what did he mean by that?

The implication as I interpret it is that we are are sandwiched geographically between monster SEC schools with monster tradition. Making competition at the very least difficult.

That could be incorrect.

Tim Brando is the biggest douchebag in sports commentary, bar none. For some reason, he's always had some sort of problem with Starkville and State. One reason might go back to when McMahon left and we rehired Polk. He made a statement on his radio show that snow would fall in hell before Polk ever went back to Starkville. He caught **** for months about that. Anyway, nobody listens to that douchenozzle anyway. Mark May - one of the biggest advocates for the BCA - preemptively shot down any racial overtones of this resignation by taking the high road, complimenting State on giving him an opportunity, and correctly pointing out that 21 wins in 5 years won't get it done.

the population pool of the state, and with there being 3 div-I colleges in Mississippi. Also, we are 85 miles from one big SEC rival (who are currently #1) and 90 miles from another (who will likely go to the Cotton Bowl this year). We are also college heavy as a state, having 1 school per 10 people (hyperbole to make a point).
