Is Karl the new coach or not? Header says yes. Post body says "rumors". Confused.

Not sure that he'd be my first choice, but we could most definitely do worse. I'll have to go back and look at his results from the last 4-5 years, but for some reason, I feel like playoff collapses are somewhat common for him which would be a little concerning.

That's what they keep saying on 56. Can't say I have strong feelings one way or the other.

Grizz could use some offense. Nuggets need some defense.

Maybe it works out. I don't know. I just think that after you had the best season in franchise history, you'd try a little harder to keep the coach that helped build it.

Why would the Nuggets not extend the contract of the NBA Coach of the Year?

Hell, if I was Jim Buss I'd fire D'Antoni on the the spot and go after Karl (unless Phil Jackson wanted to come back of course). Karl is a great coach and he deserves to win an NBA title at some point but the teams he usually takes over are rebuilding projects. The Grizzlies would be a big chance for him since they have so many good pieces in place.

Strange since both Karl and Hollins are in the same situation and now are receiving interest from each other's teams.

I don't know if Karl is the right choice for the job. All his teams that I remember have been finesse, offensive-minded teams. The roster isn't built for that. Not saying Karl can't coach that way, but it just doesn't feel right.
