Other than the guy at Michigan State, most of the guys that have coached under Saban have underperformed.

Why switch programs now? I don't see him being a spiteful type of guy that wants to stick it to the UGA folks that have been doubting him. Does he have some sort of personal connection with A&M or College Station?

but he wants the GA job. If Richt leaves for TA&M I think the hire of Smart to GA will happen quickly.

He's only got 2 years on his contract. I'm sure he felt snubbed last year and he's going to make Georgia pay up big time. I bet he gets a nice extension and raise that probably sets him up to finish his career at Georgia.

Don't get me wrong, he's a winner. But he mainly does it by getting really good talent and teaching them to not make mistakes. He runs a very vanilla scheme and does not take risks. He's a great coach, because he wins, but I think it's hard for his assistants because most people don't have the single-minded dedication that Saban does with no regard to human life. Most people can't pull that off. They will want to go for a risky 4th down every now and then and they want to cut a player some slack for a mistake. Saban doesn't do that crap.
