Yes, he lost to UT that year so the Vols went to the SEC champ game but Georgia went to the Sugar Bowl and finished #2 in the final rankings. Runner up to national champs can't be ignored. If he wins out Georgia might make the NC game. Of course 2 of these teams would need to lose (Notre Dame, Oregon, KSU). I can see KSU and ND going down and if he wins out if will be Georgia vs Oregon for the title. An even crazier scenario would be if KSU, Oregon and ND lose and Georgia beats Alabama the NC game would most likely be Georgia vs Alabama again. I don't see how UF can make the game unless KSU, Oregon, ND and UGA all lose AND UF can somehow jump them all in the BCS.
