I just got this in an email:

And it appears it could happen as early as Wednesday and as late as this weekend.

Connecting the dots. I was told last night that Greenville, MS has a fueling station that a lot of private planes use. That was probably the reason the plane that Greg Byrne and Scott Stricklin used stopped over in Greenville while coming back to Starkville from Dallas.

That jet had it's tanks topped off immediately upon landing in Dallas and could easily make the flight from Dallas to Starkville without having to refuel. It did not refuel on the way there. They didn't just put in half a tank of gas and say, well screw it, we will stop on the way home and top it off. That is not the way it works. Their was a reason for stopping in Greenville. It may not have a ton to do with our new coach but there was a reason.

I flew from Tupelo to Lubbock (to watch TT kick the shat out of Ole Miss) and we had to refuel in Texarkana. However, we were in a 4-passenger, Beech Baron, 2-engine prop. The planes that MSU use (any of them) can make the trip from Dallas to Starkville without refueling.

Please be Kevin Wilson, he is an offensive genious. If you watch his playcalling you will see that he keeps defenses off balance the whole game.

plane needs to stop and refuel on flight from Starville to Dallas, we need a new plane.

Veazey watched Byrne get off the plane? Are you saying that Byrne is so ninja like that to throw off the six pack he is flying around in a chartered jet as a decoy technique? That may be the wildest theory I have heard yet.

Byrne is Ninja like. Anybody check to see what other planes flew into that airport? Is it quite possible that the purpose of the "fuel stop" was to allow Byrne to board the plane? </p>

Best theory I have heard all day. That is if Byrne just didn't get a hankering for some tamales and make a quick pit stop.
