He is from Rayville, La. which is just outside of Monroe.

He obviously wants to stay near home, and I don't think that's terribly odd. A lot of kids want to stay near their home, just as many want to go way off. For me, MSU was kind of happy medium for me.

Monroe is a D-I school, and if he's really good, the NFL will find him.

Can we agree that probably < 80% of the offers he's claiming are not valid? Sounds like a major product of hype to me.

Either way, good for him and hope he's a first round draft pick one day making it big for the home town team.
