No drinking until after 1 pm on Sunday. The 1st half of early game is dry. For you NASCAR guys drinking will begin at the end of lap 30 to 50 depending on the track.

Nooooo Cocktails or Real Wine. If I were on the city council I would have voted against it. Go all the way or none at all. I may be wrong and the tax $$$ will just come rolling in!!!

so instead of getting to finally have beer and light wine you would rather have nothing since there is no liquor ? i hope you realize that after a few years of bringing in more revenues from the sales of beer and light wine, along with (hopefully) no increase in raping, murders, or drunk driving accidents on Sundays, that it will be much easier to just amend the law to include everything else.

It basically applies to anything that restaurants/package stores get from the ABC, which is run by the state.

...and, I believe Columbus has, as well. Tupelo's passed 4-3 just like Vegas'. How will they justify denying theirs....or will they? Seems they've got themselves in a bit of a pickle.

Tupelo only passed beer and light wine, not hard liquor or wine above 5% ABV . The ABC didn't stall Starkville's sale of beer or light wine, just hard liquor and big boy wine. Therefore there won't be a hold up with the ABC in Tupelo.

I think after it's all said and done, the city (SV) will get liquor. It just may take a few SSRC studies brought to the attention of the moronic ABC board.

In the inevitable event that cities such as Tupelo amend their ordinances to include Jesus juice and football water, then....and only then, shall it be interesting to watch the ABC squirm.

Mea Culpa...amen...holy ****
