Quick question? Croom had put together a very good recruiting class before he got fired. With that being sad Mullen is getting the credit for what Croom has done after building relationships over the years with these players as well as coming off a 8 win season and bowl victory. Everyone says Mullen and staff are great recruiters but they pretty much have not gotten anybody that Croom would not have gotten. So what happens next year if yall win 3-4 games again and Ole Miss has momentum from a Cotton Bowl win and going to another bowl and Ole Miss puts together a strong recruiting class. Will yall still be talking up Dan or will there be another whole set of excuses? Get ready it is coming.
How about we hold off until signing day to make such statements? We probably get Bumphis who wouldn't have signed with us if Croom stayed, the two JUCO kids Langston and Berry might not be be huge recruits but they fill needs and could be impact players and Aubrey Phillips is at least visiting. Late in the game when OM put up on their fuzzy video board "Many Happy Returns". ......It made me smile and laugh a little. Ole Miss fans will never forget those billboards or Derek Pegues. Using their first opportunity to throw that slogan back in our face showed me just how much that dug at them all summer and fall. ...Needless to say, it warmed my heart a little.
In an apparent attempt to quell any good feelings any state fans might get from watching our new head coach win a national championship last night, this numb nuts wants to make sure we all know Mullen can't recruit.

I doubt it. Do I think Nutt will have hyped up recruiting classes like O, absolutely not. Since you are a State fan you probably don't watch much Rebel football but let me fill you in on Nutt's recruiting. Have you ever heard of True Freshmen Brandon Bolden, Enrique Davis, Justin Smith, Patrick Trahan? These are all Nutt recruits that are impact players. I think Nutt will do just fine here. Do I think that he will win SEC championships probably not, do I think that we can expect to go to bowl games almost every year, absolutely? As for Nutt going somewhere else, he might but why would you leave the SEC making nearly 3 million dollars and people think that you are God? I know the answer to this one as well: ask a State fan.
Have not gotten my bumper sticker yet but I do have my Egg Bowl shirt. I will have more fun watching the implosion of Mullen than I ever did from watching Croom. As for the Many Happy Returns billboard that just goes to show how ****** our programs have become over the years when that is bragging rights around the state when a 8 win Liberty team beats a 3 win rebel team and that requires putting up billboards around the state.

Ok, good luck continuing to recruit Auburn signees that don't qualify or transfer out of there. The other two didn't even have offers from the SEC school in their home state. Which they may end up being good, but it isn't like Nutt exercised his prowess and stole them from LSU or UGA.

The only underclassmen that even asked for an evaluation were John Jerry on the OL, and he has stated that the only reason he's doing it is to see how much he needs to improve to become a first rounder. And the other was Greg Hardy, whose evaluation apparently came back as mid-third round. He may still go, but it's a lot less likely for a guy to leave early with only a 3rd round projection.
