Odd dynamic to even discuss this , we should be holding a parade or shouting Hoorah in the streets . But some seem unhappy . We just wiped out a commander who orchestrated an attack on our Embassy . Rejoice , this bad guy is gone. And several others . Gone . Lets the other leaders over there know that if they mess with the USA the retaliation will be quick , accurate and deadly .

Conversely, this really isn’t something that should be celebrated, it should be expected.

Iran is a random non conference basketball game. We shouldn’t be mailing checks to the Evansville's of the world and letting them beat us at anything. And if they gain some confidence, we should crush them.

This is a major news topic obviously worthy of discussion, but lets keep the politics out of it. If you want to express opinions on the decisions of the present or prior Presidents, or other politicians use the political thread for that part. thanks

This is a big deal. Anybody acting like it’s not doesn’t have a firm grasp on the reality of what a ground conflict with Iran might look like and how long it could take to resolve.
Yeah maybe we should send billions on pallets to get them to not nuke us.

Iran has been using terrorist cells forever for attacks like Hezbollah now we are holding them directly responsible and ppl want to defend iran. I'll never understand how ppl are okay that we should just submit to whatever they do or pay them to stop as opposed to be concerned with their wrong doing.

And of course it has to be politicized. Pelosi's drunk *** says Congress should have been involved. Weird I dont remember that happening when we seized a compound to get bin laden. Or biden, the guy who wanted to cut iraq into 3 pieces causing absolute chaos chimes in.

Iran cant just do whatever and us reward them them to get them to stop.

No, I don't think it is that big of a deal because we are already over there (Don't think we should be btw). I understand what a ground conflict over there looks like because I have been in Iraq, Saudi, and Kuwait. But, he was a bad person and needed to die. Iran will continue to do what they have been doing and nothing will change. Their regular terrorist activity will continue because of tax payer dollars Obama sent. They are not prepared to lose everything on an all out war.

“Taxpayer dollars”. Lemme guess...Fox News?

There are celebrities Like Rose McGowan Tweeting apologies to Iran and begging them not to kill us. Saying we are being held hostage by a terrorist regime and don't know how to escape. I am sure you could use some of that Hollywood money to buy a plane ticket to Iran.

There's a reason why all dictatorships and authoritarian regimes outlaw individual firearm possession. You strip the public of their means to defend themselves and control a large heavily armed military and it tends to squash any uprisings.
You think people with some rifles are going to stop a military that is vastly superior in armory, strategy, funding, and training? This isn’t the 1700s and 1800s where the guns used were largely muzzle loading rifles.

Uh. Remember Vietnam? South Vietnam, even with all the help and modern weaponry we gave them, couldn't even defeat the Viet Cong - their own ragged citizens fighting part-time.

Better chance than just taking it and letting them do what ever. Guerrilla warfare is a mother. They can fight a long time that way and eventually make a difference. With no guns comes no chance.

Meh, just let them police the fanatics or face an ultimatum. Get them in line and learn to get along or take Mecca off the face of the earth. Pretty simple choice
