"We are going to play (Arecto) some more. Guys, I'm not worried about what is happening four years from now. I'm going to let someone else worry about that if that needs to be. I am worried about winning a game today. Burning a redshirt.... I am just about winning a game today. We are going to play him next week and the week after that and what happens four or five years from now I'm not concerned about. Don't get me wrong in this...my philosophy is to play guys who can help us win games. I've talked to Nick Saben, I've talked to other coaches about it... when you get good players they might go in the draft after a couple of years, you never know. So I'm not going to worry about it. If a guys can help us play we are going to play him. And we will go from there. He is going to play next week so that is not a concern of mine." - Sylvester Croom

If you're not concerned about it and you want to get playmakers on the field, then WHY WAIT UNTIL THE 8TH (17)ING GAME AND WHY USE HIM ON 1 (17)ING PLAY???

Thanks DS, you were spot on with the "irate" part. This is mind numbing.

Im not going anywhere near DWS until that jackass is gone. I can't believe that his future early NFL draft pick had one whole carry for 2 yards.

So let me get this straight- this guy is so freaking good, he may get drafted. Yet he was going to be redshirted because he couldnt play enough for one of the shittiest offenses in college football? And when finally put in during Game 8, he is only good enough to play about 5 plays and make absolutely no impact?

How does anybody defends this man....

Tuberville would like his sons to play for Croom and has a 4-1 record against him.
Fulmer signed off on Croom's gameplan after blowing him out.
Saban approved of Croom burning the redshirt on a freshman in game 8 when you are 2-5.

Bobby Ross was kind enough to give him pointers in the offseason.
ESPN (The Worldwide Leader) says that he is one of the greatest coaches in football since he played for Bryant.

And that is what we know about. I wonder how many places and to how many coaches this asshat has went to for advice? For gods sake that is embarrassing enough just having a head coach so clueless that he has to ask this ****.

about anything that assclown says or does. He is so mind-numbingly stupid that I find it either comical or am just completely apathetic about it all.

When Crooms is gone, I will resume giving a **** about MSU football. Until then, I will not set foot in DWS.

.....of the season and they've helped his team to go undefeated and climb to the #2 spot in the polls. Crxxm waits until game 8 with a 2-5 record and slim hope of even getting bowl eligible this season.

Now would some reporter with any balls please call out Crxxm on his idiotic "logic" during the press conferences this week? Oh, and also maybe ask him why he needs EVERY OTHER SEC coach to ensure him that he's doing the right thing?????

i am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

he says he is playing a guy to win and then only had 3 damn plays for him. three plays. you have got to be kiddng me. we create three plays for a guy and that is enough for us to burn his shirt. there are 5 year olds that are more creative than croom. it's almost like he thinks that having one, maybe two big plays a game is enough to create a good offense. why in the world would he think this? instead of putting together hard fought long drives which result in tds we try to get one or two good plays in there that can get us close and then hope for the best. it is clear he has no real strategy or scheme from an offensive standpoint. this is why we have supposedly run the WCO, parts of the spread, I-formation smash mouth football, and whatever in the hell that was that we ran tonight (not sure since he didn't call it anything just yet). he has no clue.

finally, i find it completely laughable that he can sit there with a straight face and say that this guy could be leaving us early for the pros. so why in god's name is he on the bench for seven games? idiot.

but just because he only played 5 plays tonight (i actually only counted 3, all runs, 2 of which he was lined up at WR), doesn't mean he won't play a lot and have an impact next week.
Now, Croom will probably go all DelmonRobinson on him and forget to play him.

it is still crazy that he says he will play guys if he thinks they can help us win and he didn't decide to burn the shirt of a so called NFL hopeful until game eight. either he thinks the guy can help us win or not. we get to 2-5 before he decides that an NFL hopeful could help us? i think it has a lot more to do with us being 2-5 than with croom playing the best 11 guys.

is flunking.

If he is about to be booted off the team then use him for what we can getout of him.

I am not defending Croom, he is a fool and has to go. But this is the only way this makes sense to me.

And to top that off, he had 2 total yards. Two (17ing) yards. Croom has blown **** in the ears of Mississippi State fans for 4 and a half years now. I am sick and tired of hearing how we are going to be doing this and doing that only to see the game on Saturday and find out that not **** has changed. This week and the whole redshirt with Clark sums up my entire feelings on Sly Croom. I have been to one football game last year, and only went to two the year prior. Thanks Croom.

Sounds to me like he's saying he's not planning on being around for when Clark is a junior or senior.

Everyone on MTSU's team and coaching staff knew what was coming when Clark went 'in motion' because Crxxm advertised his "secret" all week. At least JWS had enough sense to NOT play the Polish Rifle.

Sherrill was stubborn as an Alabama mule, but the man was a shrewd one. The Polish Rifle cover up was brilliant. Also, his surprise use of 6'6", 350 lb. tight-end & fullback Melvin Hayes against Spurrier in '92 completely floored the ole ball coach. Sherrill knew how to keep things a secret (especially prior to 2001) and have it work out well.

Now, we are stuck, on year 5 of our SEC/NCAA mandated probabtion, with this master strategist and on-field magician. Sigh.

He sees Tyson Lee as a hybrid type QB cut from the mold of both of these Bama legends.
