We were within ten seconds on the play clock nearly every play. We did this often last year as well. I can understand the idea of doing this to an OSU type offense so that they get no rhythm. The problem is we continue to do it no matter the situation in the game. We basically don't manage the clock well when needed.
Are Mullen and the OC talking over every play call? If so, maybe this much second guessing is causing the problem.
When many of the other programs with problems recruiting are going uptempo we are going the other direction. It would be nice to catch a team off guard with a mediocre play call that only works well because we don't let them get ready.
