I am by no means a football strategist, but something that sticks out to me is that we never seem to get blockers on linebackers/safeties. It is as though Dixon never gets the opportunity to break one. Its not like he is being run down before he can get into the open. It always seems that he gets blasted at about that 4 yard mark.

You have to think if you could get AD one-on-one with a safety it would be ballgame, but we rarely see that. It is just hard through the hole and then wham. I will say that some of this should fall on Dixon, because Ducre clearly does a better job of seeing the gaps.

Thoughts?</p>

I think it mostly has to do with fact that we can't use the 1 blocker:1 defender ratio. We often have to double team folks just to get the 3 yards and a cloud of dust. When you are facing a 3 or 4 man front and you have 5 or 6 linemen you should be able to block linebackers. Of course, in order to do this you have to have linemen that are smart enough to pick up blitzes and good enough to block one man by himself.

Edit: When using Chrome why can I not alter text or insert anything?

I noticed the same thing. No one on NAFOOM could either. They decided to stick to IE or FF when on yuku. Edit: and it 17s up your spacing.

Until we show some passing game against a real team, its hard for Dixon to run past 8 in the box. Show some downfield throws and get them out of 8 in the box and maybe we will see some breakaways once he clears the initial line of scrimmage.
