Not really a flame at Eli Manning, but I dont think they've got enough to score 10+ points in the last 11 minutes of this game.

They have no confidence in Eli. Rightly so because he is a ***** and is playing scared to death.

w/o Burress. He opens thing sup for the other WRs and he pulls a S out of the box for the run.

Their OL was 'the best in football' but since they lost Plaxico, Ds have brought another guy down and it's just fallen apart for them.

He's probably not going to be a Giant next year, and thats a big hole to fill.

is that you can basically throw a jump ball up in the air and he's going to come down with it 95% of the time.

So, you are dead on. Ever since he left/shot himself they have gone from Super Bowl Champs to one and done in the playoffs- and they wouldn't even be there in the first place if it wasn't in large part because of Burress.

Exactly. Plus, Burress is the kind of WR that can really burn a blitzing D (like Philly). If you blitz and Eli lobs a jump ball up to Burress (which happened quite a bit), Burress comes down with alot of those.

Lets say you blitz and double Burress, that means single coverage on SSmith, Toomer, or whoever. Most NFL WRs today can beat one on one coverage in about 5 steps.

good teams take advantage of a missing weapon like that. Caught NFL Matchup last night and they showed the two previous Eagles-Giants game. The Giants ran the exact same running play (at least) once in each game. The first game, Cheddar was playing and had Dawkins playing deep. Giants gain 8-9 yards on the run. Second game, same formation, same play. No Cheddar meant Dawkins was at the line. Minimal gain.

But that's boring football according to 34, right?

AA - so many opinions, so little time

Seriously, when Hixon is your #1 option, your WR depth chart needs an overhaul.

They lose Strahan and Umenyiora, and they start 11-1.

They lose Burress, and they finish the season losing 4 of their last 5.

Shows how important having a big time receiver is to their offense.
