is that I don't know anyone that would say that the Giants were the better "team on paper" than the Patriots last year, even though the Giants won the Super Bowl.
Does this guy really think that you are the "best team"- and I would say that is highly debatable this year- that you are supposed to win? It's been my experience as a sports fan that the best team usually doesn't win the Championship.

I remember during the 06 NLCS, there were Mets fans openly PRAYING during the game, and I guess they had one answered when Chavez stole Rolen's home run, and there were grown men openly weeping in the stands when the series was over.
