Cburg should have a good chance. They were open the first week and I know Cromer. Habe probably been preparing for Giles since week one of practice. It's always a physical game. Could go either way.

HAHAHA! Cburg by 30?! I think it will be a great game. And I don't see either team winning by that margin...especially not cburg! I'm thinking Giles by a narrow margin.

Christiansburg didn't do a heck of a lot last year. Giles has already beaten Blacksburg by a comfortable margin this year. Giles by at least 13.

This and the Radford/Galax game is the toughest game to pick this weak. I have no idea if Cburg is better or worse than last year.

No way its a 30 point spread either way. I would give the edge to Giles since they played last week. I think C'burg will make game 1 mistakes that will hurt them against a strong Giles team who you have to play almost perfect to beat. Also, I don't think a week of extra prep to play Giles helps you that much because I doubt there is any scout team out there that replicates what they do.

A little off topic, but I watched the C'burg-Giles middle school game Thursday. Anybody have any idea who the goliath Giles Middle had on the field is? #42 I believe. Has to be like 6'5 200+. No way he's not getting scouted already.

Cburg by 30....Giles isn't that good this year and CBurg is loaded
I have no clue about either team, but I'm immediately intrigued when you say Cburg by 30. If they can beat Giles like that then they will definitely be a player in the RRD with Pulaski, Patrick Henry, and Salem looking like the early frontrunners. Cave, HV, Carroll, and Blacksburg fighting to stay out of the cellar. Blacksburg does have a really good QB/WR combo in Johnston and McCoy. I remember last year from the MS game with Andrew Lewis that Blacksburg has an awesome RB coming up in Terry- Freshman this year. He'll be a guy to watch in the next few years.

According to the Roanoke Times preview, C-Burg only had 29 players on their varsity roster and I was told today, 2 of those have quit. So I doubt they're loaded. They couldn't have much depth at all. Kind of curious to see what they have. Will see tomorrow.

I watched the bluefield scrimmage and both done whatever they wanted to on offense. The score was even so not sure how they whipped them.

Hey Bluedevil, I guess if Cburg is loaded and great what's that make Giles? Cburg is good team, not a great team.
