Strictly my opinion but I think he either walks away to another job like Tubby Smith did or he stays. Because I don't care where the money comes from, if a College President signs off on a $6 million buyout for a basketball coach in today's climate, he's not far behind. The percentage increase for UK's tuition is about hit double digits for the fourth year in a row. Faculty and staff are being laid off left and right. Not a real good time to be buying out someone you hired two years ago. I think Gillispie is a good coach. He's hard headed and probably not real comfortable with the spot light that comes with UK basketball, but he can get there if given time. The program was in decline when he took over. One of the biggest myths out there is that Tubby Smith was fired. He wasn't. He was going to get another year to turn it around, but he knew that was a long shot and he bolted. Gillispie hasn't helped the situation by making some very questionable recruiting decisions, but at this point I think you have to give him another class or two to prove himself. UK fans aren't patient, but I think they are going to have to be in this case.
