Would the democrats have done they same? Yes they would’ve if they could’ve and They have done similar things before. Court packing is the practice of adding extra seats to gain an advantage in the courts.

It is a classic case of don’t do what I do. Shumer threatened the Supreme Court... that was ok. Harris told people to fight like hell.... several encouraged the riots that destroyed the livelihoods and cities of several normal people,,, that was ok too. Trump did the same thing and they wanted to impeach him because it affected the rich ones in power.

The dems blocked Bush's appointments to the bench which is why Obama got to name over 300 judges. The dems got payback in the form of Garland and others. Adding new seats to the court is taking the conflict to a whole new level. It's a good thing that at least two dem Senators won't go along with the plan. The Supreme Court will be able to put the breaks on the left's insane socialist agenda.

I do NOT want the court packed. If the Supreme Court seems something unconstitutional, that’s all there is to it, unless an amendment is passed. Trying to pack the courts bc you don’t want crap rejected is the very evidence that proves we do not need to pack the courts.

Yet you were cool with it when the GOP packed it by refusing to bring Garland up to vote and rushing Barrett thru in violation of the GOP’s own standards so they can ensure that the radical right agenda can get passed instead of rejected.

I believe it was President Obama who said, 'Elections have consequences', right? While out of the ordinary, nothing the Republicans did with Garland or Barrett was illegal. They had the majority and it was well within their right to do exactly as they did. However, they have no right to claim 'foul' when the Democrats turn the tables on them in the future.

The Democrats pretty much started down this road with Robert Bork. Throw in the Kavanaugh circus as a response to Garland and here we are. Both sides acting like petty little bitches.

So tired of hyper partisan politics.

I thought McConnell was a POS with Garland, and he screwed Obama, but even though I detest Trump . . . . he was still President, and had every right to appoint Barrett when he did.

As it turned out, all these so called right wing judges were not crooks after all, because "Trump's Supreme Court" did not consider helping him in the election litigation, nor did dozens of his appointees on various Federal Courts, who all correctly and faithfully fulfilled their duties by throwing out all of the stupid *** election fraud cases that had zero merit.

You're dumb. There is a difference between appointing open seats, and "packing" a court. The former is always done regardless of which party is in power, because that's what is supposed to happen, and the latter is liable to create a constitutional crisis. Do you even understand what "packing" a court means?

There is a difference between turning your TV off, and actively trying to screw someone's life up. I'll "cancel" anything on a personal level for any number of reasons, many of which are not political. The next time I go on some witch hunt to get someone fired over something I disagree with will be the first time, and it's just not going to happen. It's true that both sides of the political spectrum engage in this nasty activity, but it does appear that about 90% of the examples of it come from the Left.

Untrue, on multiple levels. A fan can’t cancel anything. Games go on, but some fans may choose to look elsewhere. If a single fan or a group of fans had the power to shut down a sport...that would be an equivalence.

Further, some people know damn well that free speech is dead if it’s not ALL protected. You fight the hardest for speech you disagree with. Chapter 1, paragraph 1 of the Enlightenment. Limitations of speech are entering new territories; as a bludgeon from an emerging leftist/media complex against political thought. It’s un-American, as un-American as Joe McCarthy was, and to pretend otherwise is dishonest.
