A study found that women speak an average of 20,000 words a day while men speak an average of only 7,000. This is one of the few studies I believe approaches truth. Except for my wife it's double and for me it's half as much.
My wife talks with her mother an hour every morning, then she talks with my daughter near endlessly after that all throughout the day. I don't know WTF they say and it doesn't seem to have much importance or make any sense. It's just a barrage of words flowing down a river of emotion which fills a hole in their psyche and allows them some semblance of exhausted sanity by bedtime. Seems to be a fact of nature. It can be frustrating when on rare occasion you have something of substance to discuss or want some "private time". Good luck working that in. I implemented a schedule and rules to assure that fun time is not impacted.
Some things I’ve noticed over the years of dating and being married.
They love to talk to you about people you don’t know.
There’s usually one person at work they can’t get along with.
They feel the need to ask you the same question a hundred different ways or ask for your input on something you’ve made clear that you don’t care about.
They love Instagram.
They can justify any of their purchases while questioning your purchases.
They overreact no matter how small the issue could be. If there’s the slightest bit of an issue over something needing to be done at work (or even at home, probably), it’s the “end of the world.” Instead of calmly just taking care of something, it has to be made into a big deal and they have to come to someone else with this “grave issue.” Work with a lot of women and you’ll see this **** on a routine basis.
