Now that the ink is dry on his pro contract, is it safe to say that Girodo had the most dramatic career turnaround of any State player in any sport (or at least the big three) ever? I'm talking freshman year to end of college eligibility.
Prior to this year, when Chad came in you knew either 1) the game was already lost OR 2) it was about to be a loss. This year was completely different and his postseason performance was pure domination.
All this got me thinking, is there anyone else that had this sort of improvement over his Mississippi State career from beginning to end? Chris Relf comes to mind who came a long way from being a "project" to leading the team in 2010. Even with that said, Chris was maybe as bad in the beginning, but was never as dominant as Girodo in the end, nor did he come close to getting drafted. Renfroe is another, but his deal was more about putting it all together and letting the game come to him.
Who are some other State players in any sport that made drastic improvement over their career? Any as much as Girodo?
