Give Wilson credit for the defense showing up after the first quarter

We looked lost in the beginning but after giving up the early 2nd quarter touchdown we shut them down for the rest of the game. Arkansas has a lot of problems but they can still run and throw the ball well. Proud of the last three quarters of defensive effort.

I think you need to give Petrino a little credit as well. I cannot understand why Arkansas started playing conservative offense in the second quarter, running on 1st and 2nd down. Once MSU had the big lead they had to throw, but then its easier to defend.

Why should I give Wilson credit for ceding 2-3 first quarter TD's to every half-respectable team we play? Seems 14 points on the first 2-3 possessions is given to our opponent. Not acceptable.

Arkanas has done the same thing against

Nearly every team they've played. Last week against USCe, they were a penalty away from it being a 21-7 game in Arkansas favor.

Also, this team still has tons of talent... Many of the same guys kicked the **** out of us last year in LR. they are just immature.

He realized a 260lb LB (McKinney) couldn't 'execute' coverage against their best WR. Zero credit for realizing the obvious.

is that if he deserves blame for coming out flat then he deserves credit for making the adjustments that shut them out the rest of the game.

Yep. Great job adjusting by the coaching and stepping it up by the players after a pretty bad first quarter. Ark helped us some, but we made our plays, too.
