You don't wanna play for us? Fine - retire. But we're not trading you, so if you do want to play and make any money, come on back and honor the contract you signed.

Palmer has put up with more **** from teammates and management as a player than any other that I can remember. Let him take his 80 mil and go live on a beach. I can't blame him at all after watching Masser brown and the rest of that **** show on hard knocks.

palmer has tried to get the bengals to go out and get some good players yet they do nothing. they are probably one of the worst managed teams in the nfl

It's not like they just started making questionable decisions. So if you are going to be man enough to take on the big contract and the $15 million signing bonus that came with it, be man enough to play it out, which I think will be 2014.

Why not trade him and get some value for him. That is just more evidence of a mismanaged organization.

is that whenever this is discussed, neither of the following things are ever mentioned:<div>
</div><div>1) They won their division two years ago. People act like they haven't tasted success in decades. I acknowledge they aren't exactly the Colts, Patriots, or Steelers, but they haven't been the Detroit Lions either.</div><div>
</div><div>2) Carson Palmer's play last year was no better than the rest of the team. He was awful. I feel like he thinks that his play deserved better than 4-12. It didn't. Last year, he was every bit as bad as 4-12.</div><div>
</div><div>edited for typos</div>

He's like Lebron with less of an ego. Just get me to a winner since I am not good enough to do it myself.

I also don't understand the baseball players on losing teams who won't waive their no-trade clause. Palmeiro wouldn't do it back in 2003 when the Cubs were asking and all they had at first was Eric Karros and Miles Simon. I guess it's being apart from your family, but when you are on the road for 81 games a year plus spring training, what's another 4-6 weeks of time spread across 2-3 months?

(according to him) and says he simply doesn't want to play there. He's not bitching about the money or anything, just that he's in a ******** organization.

He doesn't play, he won't get paid. Only thing I see is the Bengals are idiots to get nothing from him, and make him sit out.

I almost hate telling people I'm a bengals fan as of late, but even with all the points brought up... I just can't support the action for trying to force Carson into playing or retiring early. His play last season cost us a few games and he's never been the same since his injury against the Steelers in 06. Trade him and try to get something out of it. Even a lot of the players aren't liking the move. Why would you feel compelled playing beside someone who doesn't want to be there with you? Makes no sense.
