I love it! Mags at Salem, Christmas at JF, Woody at Glass, James at Pulaski, Anderson at GW, and Martin at Fleming. Football in our area is most definitely headed in the right direction. 4a North should not be taken lightly anymore.

All these great coaches in the Seminole District, lots of state championships etc.... It's kind of crazy, thinking that not one of them is at Amherst? The most well known Championship team in the Seminole, IMO.

Danville, If the South Region had taken any team from the north lightly, they wouldn't be 2-0.

Great point but I was speaking on how the fans from 4a south see it, but great hire for EC Glass. They have a great coach, a PROVEN coach, coming in to go along with their good athletes. Congrats to their program and fan base.

I agree Danville, hopefully no bad feelings from last year but 4 a north in western Va is looking up. Glass, Danville, Forest, Heritage, and Salem and Pulaski. The potential is still there for Amherst. Christmas turned the Forest program overnight. Looking forward to some great battles and whoever wins these battles will hopefully get closer to the great teams from the south.

With all do respect to you #1, if for no other reason I would love to see Amherst return to a high level of competiveness for Wikki. It would be hard to find anyone that loves their team more than her. Some of us equally so, but nobody more than.

As would I but it's gonna require a coaching change to do that. I know lots of people don't want to here that but year after year all I hear is wait till next year. But it never comes. An there are plenty of people in amherst who deal with all levels of football in the county an they'll tell you the talent level is higher than the performance level at the high school.

a lot changes in a young man between youth league and HS. I've watched talent fail later and I've watched lack of talent bloom with age.

Youth leagues are supposed to be fun and make the kid want to come back and play next year.

Talents talents no matter what age an it's easy to say what you an others say a far. But if you where here an you actually had eyes on the different leagues you would understand. An most of what I talk about its not pop warner. I mainly talk of JV level.

An on another subject the team has looked like chickens with there heads cut off on the field for years. Wrong personal on field penalties wasted timeouts ect. An again I know you'll say there just kids it's not the coaches fault.
Do you see well coached teams make those mistakes year after year. No

That being said I'm sure this post will get deleted

I do hear what you are saying and don't see any reason why your post would be deleted.

Yes, when you play a schedule like Amherst's, those little mistakes must seem glaring when the Lancer's can't afford to make any. My sympathies.
