In all fairness Glenvar does have a pretty good "D"......but dag gone....7 turnovers.....heck I don't know it Lee had 7 possessions today..........If you manage to win with 7 turnovers your plain lucky....how many of those turnovers were forced...just wondering...GO GILES

7 turnovers and only 19 points on the board... It might be another long night for the highlanders in Pearisburg this upcoming Friday night if they played like they did today offensively.

glenvar did have a good d but union qb had a awful day. in his defense tho there were a lot of drops by recievers. union couldnt run on them and really had no choice but to throw it. it was 12 to 9 with 6 min left and union threw a pic in yhe red zone that killed them. hats off to glenvar tho. they wanted this game. they played hard.

Gotta give the Union D some credit in holding Glenvar to only 19 pts on what seemed like turnover after turnover. Seemed like the whole game was a Union turnover and then a defensive stand. The last TD by Glenvar was with about a minute to go and yes, after another INT. Glenvar's D was good, but the QB underthrew every thing he let go. Just one of those games. It felt like the game changed with Union held Glenvar to a 3 and out after pulling the score to 12-9 with 6 minutes to go but the INT bug struck again. Union moved the ball fairly well, especially the opening drive, but every drive ended with a turnover. No way to win like that. I'm with everyone else, everything goes through Giles this year.

Great season by Union though!!

To be honest, it really doesn't take much to stop Glenvar's offense, they haven't scored much all year against any body. Their game plan seems to be to play defense and manage the game running the ball mixing a pass or two in. If they get a 3 and out, no big deal because they think their defense is good enough to win the field position game and score when the opportunity arises. When Glenvar played Giles the first time they expended so much energy and effort in trying to stop Giles, their offense suffered. They only had 47 total yards! Of course Giles defense had a lot to do with it too, but Glenvar really is not an offensive minded team, but focus on their defense to try and win games.
