Thoughts? Big game that has about everything in play. Good luck to Giles on Monday against Galax. Should be a slobberknocker. At least the game w/Glenvar is on Saturday so playing on Monday won't have much of a detrimental effect.

Has a huge effect when u play a physical team like Galax rewards. It's a game either team can win and not a game that subs will play in. To play a game like that on a Monday and then have to come right back and get ready for a great Glenver team, sucks in my book. No two days rest like normal over the weekend and Glenver should be very rested with a bye week. I totally disagree with your statement but it's what the system is. Play and hope for the best. I hope Giles can come out of Galax game healthy. We seem to get banged up pretty good everytime we play them.
A galax team that took us to the wire and shoulda coulda woulda the last 2 years....and took glenvar to the wire with a long bomb pass took to win it with under a minute left I believe...they have a very good coach..dixon knows his stuff...then ur got 2 maybe 3 days to get ready for the state champs...if that challenge is successful then things will really shake up...
I think Giles just needs to cancel the galax game all together....screw it....but the VHSL is now saying the game HAS to be played as well as the Carroll Co-Salem game HAS to be played....what a load of crap
Well...games not played screw with the all important point system and affect other teams. Maybe we should go back to winning districts to advance period. Simpler time.
It was the 2nd to last play of the game with less than 20 sec. Thinking if they didn't score on that play Galax would have gone into a complete TD prevent defense and probably won the game.
Our field is a mess....could have injuries...no way this game should HAVE to be played....screw the point system, kids health is more important than points..total BS...oh well
