Honest question, what "huge" sacrifices were made? The government bailed out GM financially or did the workers give up some of the check to help? Honestly do not know, what did they have to give up?

During the "great recession" UAW members agreed to open up the contract and give concessions to help the automakers through the struggle. These concessions were supposed to be temporary, and reinstated into our 2011 agreement. They included foregoing our agreed upon raises, giving up our cost of living allowance (which was about $2 per hour at the time), paying more of our medical, less break time, giving up Christmas bonus...etc. Two years later these companies were back to massive profits and we never got any of that back. I make a great living as an autoworker, but I literally make less money per hour right now, than i did in 2007. But the main reason for the strike is now newer employees are treated.

Take your facts and personal experiences and get out of here.

You've said it twice now. Where is your citation? GM has the highest paid workers, where is the difference in quality?

Beaners should go home and help their people and not post derelict ******** in threads I read. Eat **** and then go HOME Ron.

That escalated quickly, take it you’re a Toyota man?

Reading is hard, I get it. But we havent gotten raises when the company has all time record profits year after year. But the strike isnt about that anyway.
