We at The Mississippi State University have, once again, shown our natural superiority. As the only legitimate major college Athletic program in the State of Mississippi, it's finally good to put a little distance between us and our little sisters. I think the shocking upset loss in the Egg Bowl gave the university of ole miss false hope that they were a legitimate program (this is what happens when a superior team gets overconfident and fails to prepare for a gimmick offense. The same thing almost happened to us against Troy State, a much better team).

However, the combination of OUR worst team EVER beating the university of ole miss' all-time greatest team in basketball, and last night's shellacking, things are back to normal. We musn't hate the Bears, just encourage them to accept their place among the 2nd tier. If they put 1/50 the money and effort into their academics they put into their athletic programs, they might actually be a decent alternative to Delta State or MUW.

Man I love Holder's hair and 12 to 6 curve. He's GMaddux and KPowers all in one.

dude is a beast. love watching that pitch on TV.

That curve is nasty and he has just enough fastball that they can't sit on the

curve. He also has the attitude needed as you pointed out.

Yes, the curve is nasty but what I'm impressed with is his ability to throw it

for strikes at any point in the count. Caleb Reed had a big sweeping breaking pitch. Problem was, he had trouble throwing it for strikes at times and that's one reason I think Holder took his place as closer.

Frazier's AB was obviously HUGE, but Ammirati's right before was too. With runners at second and third and Frost having struck out (which could've been a killer), Ammirati had to make something happen. He got behind in the count (either 0-2 or 1-2), and managed to foul off enough pitches to work the count and eventually get the walk. That was a big-time AB - nice to see from Ammirati.

Agree, I remember on one batter he had three balls and threw the hook

twice to strike the guy out. That was nice.
