The team should go if invited but for the program to celebrate it would be equivalent to the time Tom Crean cut down the nets following a loss.
I would be for them taking it because of the advantage of being able to practice another month...now would I go?...probably not unless it is someplace nice...for those that will rip me, I have missed two games this season

I really don't know if the extra practices would really do much good. We already have had a few players announce they are or already left the program during the season or shortly after (Snodgrass and now Towles). There seems to be internal problems with the team judging by some tweets and the players only meetings. We have looked poorly coached all year. Will a few more weeks of practice fix anything? Would going to a meaningless bowl that they were forced to take a bad team due to lack of options make the team want to be there? Would many fans want to go to a crappy bowl in a terrible location to see a terrible game? In my opinion we need to just end this season and move toward next by doing some restructuring of the coaching positions.

The extra practice is huge. It sucks as a 5-7 team but you have to take it. The bowls need to be cut in half. I bet UK loses $$ if they go. Most bowls make you buy tickets. Didn't UK lose $ in Birmingham?

UK has no chance of going at 5 - 7 because they will take teams with the highest APR. Which is a reward for getting it done in the classroom. Unfortunately just like on the field Stoops is happy being average in the classroom.

Love for the staff to get fired sans a couple of guys and bring in some new guys and give them some practice time with the players.

That's not necessarily the case. The top 5 APR teams would take priority for 5-7 bowls, but currently that's defined as the top 5 overall APR teams, not the top 5 APR teams that are trying to go to a bowl at 5-7. It's possible tomorrow that the NCAA will end up prioritizing APR, but I suspect that the priority is going to which team can bring the most dollars.

I might be wrong about that, though. Different sources are saying totally different things; I guess we won't know for sure until tomorrow.

dont forget UNC's monster year. Duke also bowling as is Uconn. Big year for supposedly basketball schools.

I thought everyone on here said it's okay that we're bad because basketball schools aren't supposed to be good anyways? lol guess we're seeing more and more of the myths that have been pushed by those wanting UK fans to expect less being debunked one after the other

It's a moot point, but why in the world would we want this coaching staff to conduct extra practices considering what they've done(or haven't done) so far??
