Not necessarily new, but I’ve got an Sig p365x that is a sweet concealed carry weapon.
Also a big fan of my S&W 686 and 586 6 inch barrels in .357

I got a Walther PPS and a Ruger LCP Max for my two compact carries. I just read about H&K CC9. I have wanted a VP9 for a long time.

I know Glocks are super well thought of and many people love them. I just have never really wanted one for some reason.
What is your philosophy of use? Concealed carry the sig 365 is awesome, but for winter carry I like a nice Ed Brown 1911 commander .45. If I’m going deer hunting I have a kimber 10mm 1911 or a .357 revolver I like to carry. For a battle rig I have a sig p226 9mm. Truck gun is a HK USP .45, which is the AK of pistols. I’m not a striker fired fan, but I own a few. If you want a great range gun get a 2011 in 9mm.
Personally, I can shoot a millimeter grouping with a compound bow. I couldn’t hit a bull in the *** loaded with chickpeas using a pistol.
Short compact rifle.
But. If I had to choose. I like Sig.
we (wife and I) have had HK’s, Sigs when they were good, Springfield, Smith, etc, etc. We took the long way around to get to Glock. Never thought the wife would touch an ugly glock bc she is a snob about everything, but that is what she insists on having. Now, we have an HK P30 and I don‘t know how many Glocks. Granted, we aren’t into the high dollar range guns; pistols for us are home/self defense. AR’s are another story; that is where I spend my money.
We are kindred spirits. I own several striker fired guns but they just don’t move my soul like a 1911. My carry is dependent on clothing is a Kimber Solo, a Kimber Raptor Compact, or a Les Baer Concept Commander. My truck gun is a Kahr K9 which is hands down the most accurate production handgun I own. If I’m going to the range to just shoot I usually carry a Wilson Combat Protector but if I want to make people stop and look I have a Coonan 1911 357 magnum that is guaranteed to make everyone stop and say “ what the heck is that? “ While the Coonan is fun to shoot, the rimmed 357 was never designed for a magazine and because it was never meant to cycle an automatic manufacturers cheat on loads so I wouldn’t bet my life on it.
The grip angle on Glocks and Sigs dont fit me. My Ruger SR9c fits me like a glove.
I have several family members who are in law enforcement. When I asked them why law enforcement is so fond of Glocks, their reply is all the same. “When you pull the trigger, it is going to fire every time!”
It's a great one! But I enjoy shooting my old Super Blackhawk .44 Mag better for some reason. It's the most accurate pistol I've got.
I can’t tell you the last time I’ve had a gun misfire that wasn’t ammo or magazine related. The reason cops carry Glocks is because Glock has tremendous leasing and sales incentives for law enforcement. Glock actively courted law enforcement as a customer base and did a tremendous job of it. When Glock first hit the market they definitely had a better mousetrap but now everyone has a better mousetrap.
Me too, but also love my Glock 19 and Glock 43. Would love to have a Colt Python, but they're jus t too darn expensive!!
