Greene looked better than Nicco. But Greene has been a good spring game QB before as well. Let's hope he can do it as a starter.
Possible problems will be there is no threat from WR. Look for stacked box to shut down the run game. Will need that TE in the passing game.

Greene has stood out as the better QB, so I am expecting Brown to name Nicco the starter or go QB by committee.
We may never have a threat at WR under Brown. He was a WR coach, it is supposed to be his specialty. Our WR's have all regressed under him, or stayed the same. Not one WR was developed. We had a guy who's measurables are 1st round worthy, but he will lucky to get drafted before the 6th or 7th round because he is considered so raw and undeveloped. The lack of good coaching is really hurting Ford-Wheaton right now...

The first game is a long way off. Only thing Greene has shown is he is a good spring player. If it carries through summer I believe he starts. But with his aggressive playing style injury is possible.

Greene played pretty damn well last year. Beat Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Wasn't outstanding, but was steady.
Last year doesn't translate to this year. Had JT not sucked then Greene probably never gets a shot. Personally hope he continues his growth. Starting a red shirt freshman when trying to keep your job is not a good thing.
Is Greene good enough to beat the top teams? Guess we will find out.
Funny the ticket office called my brother last week. Three weeks after the deadline for renewals. Ticket guy asks if it was an oversight not renewing. Brother said no. Guy says do you mind telling me why you are not renewing.
Brother tells him because WVU has no direction and donāt seem to care. Said you fired Lyons but not Brown and that was unacceptable.
Ticket guy was a trooper and took criticism well. He tried to talk up Wren Baker by noting Baker fired Larry Harrison. Brother said big deal he fired an assistant coach who nobody ever even acknowledged why he was fired. He should have fired Neal Brown who has sucked since he got here etc. Ticket guy then said things are in motion to fire Brown and he will be fired if he starts the season 1-2, which seems inevitable. Brother told him to call back when we quit hiring nobodies from small time schools like Troy and North Texas for important positions at WVU and we could win 8 games a year.
