Any UK fan who would pass on Golden if given the chance doesn't truly care about Kentucky basketball the way they think they do.

A single win against Vandy isn’t f-ing good enough for a school like Kentucky. Meanwhile we’re probably watching Duke or UConn add another title on us this year.
We just do not have the front court to deal with Florida ( most don't). BUT if Chandler goes off again, we have a shot.

The reality is that we're in a bad marriage with Pope. That doesn't change until the man proves he can recruit elite incoming freshmen and primary portal targets.
The way this season has gone — it’s convicted me UK needs a coach with an attitude to win big here. Sure, you can win a national championship with Tubby his first year (and then never make it back to the Final 4). Yes, Pope can overachieve with a bunch of mid-major transfers his first year and then follow it up with this uneven year.
But to consistently win big like Rupp/Pitino/Calipari? We need someone with some spice.

Further proof our program has fallen off the cliffs. This about the tenth post I’ve read that refers to a home victory against the 25th ranked team that has 6 losses in conference as our best game of the year and one of our best wins. Do you all hear yourselves? Yes we played well but we aren’t TCU or Kansas State. Do you think Duke gets excited about a home victory against Miami? Some of you are acting like we should have rushed the floor after the victory. I was at the game and we played well but it adds fuel to my concern about how Pope can’t get his teams to play like this all the time. What would have happened if we put this amount of effort against Auburn, Georgia, Missouri?
He is exactly the type of coach you need and I love his attitude. Fights for his players and everything isn’t sunshine and rainbows when talking to media. I’ll throw this in… he doesn’t sulk after a loss.

I thought we should have been looking hard at him before we hired Pope. And we probably could’ve had him then.
