Has WRH ever played Goldsboro? We use to play them and I'll never forget the first time we did and their band came marching into our stadium with girls dancing all the way to their seats in the stands. Burlesque was mild to what we saw. Everyone on our side was in total disbelief at what we were seeing. We still talk about it. I found this clip on youtube. I figured someone somewhere had to have videoed them. lol enjoy. This is mild to what we saw at West Craven years ago.

Wrh is in "playoff" mode Defense finally looking formidable. This teams starting to hit on all cylinders wrh wins big, again. 30+
That, sir, was mild surprisingly. Have you seen these fast tail girls lately? Cheerleaders might be clean, but the drill team makes me think I'm at a strip club.
Back in the early 80’s, Goldsboro, S Wayne and E Wayne were all 4A schools. Goldsboro had some very good teams loaded with athletes. The stands were packed and the fans would flood the field after the game.
I know Goldsboro, at one time, had dropped down to 1A. I assume the drop was due to private schools and maybe a new school opening. Not sure if there is a 4A school in Wayne County anymore.

I haven't seen Goldsboro in a long time. They were 3A or 4A last time I saw them. We use to enjoy watching the band march into the stadium. They played and the girls worked that booty all the way to their seats.
I wasn't referring to Goldsboro. I was talking about darn near everywhere. I know at SWE, I have to keep reminding myself "high school...high school....high school...smh"
That was an excellent conference in all three sports back in the day, with New Hanover, New Bern, and Jacksonville with the Wayne County schools. It seems like Kinston was in that conference, too. I'm thinking Hoggard was in a different conference back then.
I got you. What I saw from Goldsboro was before some of the guy's on here was even born. Early 90's.
GSO, you have a good memory. Kinston was in the conference through 1980. Hoggard was in the conference by 1980. My first year at NHHS we had a 9 team 4A conference. You would struggle to find nine 4A schools east of I95 today.
If memory serves me, NHHS and Hoggard were in separate conferences for most of the 1970’s. I think the gas situation may have required a realignment - but thats just a guess.

We know how you feel, but if y'all wind up champions,y'all will have earned it. We almost felt that way last year but we had SWO in eastern Championship. They were nowhere the team NEHS or Reidsville was.

You do realize the Goldsboro game was an upset. We would have been playing an undefeated conference champion as well had they not won.
And WRH and Clinton tied for 1st according to the rules.
Not too worried about playing a undefeated conf champ....like South Granville has Kinston really played anyone looking at some of the scores(i know thats bad) they can be beat.....we just gotta play our game

Very true because in all honesty SG and Kinston were both “paper champions”. Neither team looked impressive to me what video I saw.

I remember it too. I also remember Goldsboro was a lot better in the playoffs than they were in the regular season.
Same thing been saying about NE. These teams play no one just for seeding purpose. Never understood it, always better to be battle tested, and hit in the mouth early in the season. Come playoff time if you have never made an adjustment at halftime to win a game, it will be to late in the playoffs

NE is over hyped average team. QB is terrrrrrrible with his arm. You even said at the beginning of the season you might not win conference , now your better then last year. Lol, you are so correct. I'm sure if any of the WRH,NE,or SWO coaches read these threads they're probably about to go crazy reading our posts. I know the NHS coaches aren't even thinking about any team but Beddingfield. We've got us a great coach and one of the best in the state. He has our program headed in the right direction and it won't be long before we get that coveted c'ship.
Not gonna happen this go round brother. I respect your football knowledge, but wrh a machine on offense now. You guys are a one dimensional power running team. Our defense has gotten a lot better since early in the season. It's gonna be tough for anyone in 2a to outscore us now. Just my biased opinion!
LoL I respect yours as well, we have both won our fair share of titles and head to head games. Just win Friday and SWO comes ready and beats the undefeated SC. Then we will see
It’s like WRH evolves into a different team every single year after the Clinton game, seriously just look back through the years WRH goes through motions until Clinton game and after that Win or Lose they just flip a switch and are deadly again. I really thought it would have been different this year but they proved me wrong when they dismantled Whiteville. Eastern Final will be a Clinton WRH rematch.
