I guess he couldn't just get out of the cart, walk on to the green, and then get back in the cart and drive off like the rest of us who play golf......:americanflag:
I honestly don't know how he has millions as a base that supports him at every turn by making excuses for him. But then again I read a few posts from idiots like THE and dave and understand perfectly.

It may be a gentleman’s game, but President Barack Obama doesn’t necessarily practice perfect etiquette on the golf course, according to NBA star Stephen Curry. The athlete revealed that POTUS is a trash-talker. “During his speeches, he has that slow cadence that kind of draws you in,” Curry explained. “He brings that same kind of vibe to his trash talk. So I’ll hit a shot out of bounds, and he’ll just look like, ‘Yeah, that’s not a good shot. I’m going to need you to do better next time.’ So he gets under your skin.

First off, so his can drive a cart over the greens as long as it's his golf course? OK, didn't see that in the "golf course etiquette" books that everyone else goes by, INCLUDING the golf course owners on the courses I play.....

And what the **** does trash talking have to do with anything? Do you not golf? Talking smack has always been part of the game of golf, just nobody really hears it. I've said numerous times to my buddies when they hit a ball OB or in the trees "hey, you know the fairway is straight ahead? Yeah, see my ball? Yeah, right there". [laughing]

I currently don't play golf. I have tried several times....but I suck at it and decided to quit embarrassing myself. I have given away at least 3 sets of clubs over the years. My son-in law who once was an assistant pro at Baltusrol has offered many times to give me lessons, I declined. A company I used to work for sponsored a charity Pro/Am for years to raise money for Easter Seals in the Metro DC area. The event was held right after the Kemper and I got a chance to be around and mingle with many of the pros that were on the tour. I was always was invited to play with one of the pros but I decided to help out around the course and declined to play. In these events they rode in carts and I saw MANY of them drive across MANY greens.

The ONLY carts I've ever seen go on to the green (besides maintenance) were those with disability that needed assistance to get out of the cart.

I saw it happen several times in the 15 years I did the Pro/Am charity event. And it was done by the Pros....they each always had a cart all to themselves.

MountaineerWV.......We can both agree that Trump does a lot of weird AND uncalled for crap. But in the bigger picture......What does it really matter if he drives a golf cart across the edge of a green on a course that he owns.

He's OUR president. Examples need to be set BY him to US. I'm at the point (as I posted in another thread) where I think my party should just take a step back, let the Republicans govern, and then in 2-4 years see where we are. If it's better, tip your hat. If it's not, then you have what you need for the elections.

No, not at all. But if I were to do that at my local course, I'd be kicked off QUICKLY and told never to return again.

I don't golf, but I understand people who do take these things seriously.

As to your example, I work with classified documents and if I'd done what Hillary did, I'd be under the jail, or hiding out in Russia.

I'm not talking about Hillary......nor do I care if she is in or out of prison. I'm just saying Trump has a long way to go as the leader of our great nation. Setting examples is one of them.
