The George Wythe Maroons successfully defended their state crown on Tuesday, at the Pete Dye River Course. In what is likely a record one-day margin in state tournament play, GW finished a whopping 46 strokes ahead of second-place Central (Lunenberg). Auburn finished third, nine strokes behind Central.
