Just got back from a Myrtle Beach golf trip. Played 6 days straight, most of them in shorts. Beautiful weather. My game could have been better, though. The golf was a little pricey, but accommodations were excellent, $200 for the week at Myrtlewood. We played...

Wild Wing (twice)
Shaftesbury Glen
Lion's Paw
River Hills
Myrtle Beach National (South Creek)

Every course was in great shape and the greens were crazy fast. Hadn't been to Myrtle in 4 years. Good to get back.

I never understood how injuries and age could significantly impact performance until it happened to me. My golf skill is in a different universe vs the likes of Spieth and the impact of back issues and being close to 50 has been very challenging both physically and mentally. No matter what my brain wants my body to do, getting into the positions I once could and the speed I once had seems impossible now. I cannot imagine how frustrating it is for a top level player like him to grind as much as he has and not see the results he once had. My fear for him is not being able to mentally come back from it.
