I don't care if you hate Tiger, you have to be excited to see Sergio choke again today. They are trainwrecks to behold.

Should be a good weekend even though they will be all over Tiger on TV. There are so many good players in the hunt right now. I'd like to see Adam Scott pull it off.

I can't wait to see how Tiger cheats to try and win this time. Regardless, he won't win. He is just an average pro golfer, and not the supreme golfer everyone thought he was at first. I blame his swing change. He may win every so often again, but will never be dominant again.

By average pro golfer you mean one of the top 5 golfers on tour? And by at first I assume you mean this year and not back in 2000. I think you are dead on with the swing changes. The rest of the pack has caught up with him too. Golfer's today don't walk around with a beer gut, smoking Winston's anymore. Don't get me wrong Arnie, Player, Hogan and some others were in great shape in their day. But they don't have all the nutritionist, personal trainers like today's golfer. Just look at Lee Westwood.

He is the best golfer in the world again

He's not near as dominant and won't ever be, but he's the best out there right now.

Speaking of which. You ever notice how Miller is so critical on every golfer when they make a mental error, but Tiger can do no wrong.

This exact thought occurred to me while watching Brandel Chamblee give his take on Sergio/Eldrick.

He has 3 wins so far this year. A little above average I would say. I'm not a Tiger fan by any means, but he is one of best right now.

On another note.......I get to play Old Waverly next week. Along with watching a MSU/SC bb game and will play the MSU golf course too. Looking forward to all that. How is the MSU course these days?

Better be aggressive on 16..the 5 par. You'll definitely need a cushion going to 17. Of course, then you have to deal with 18..one of the toughest 4 pars in the world. I would go with driver at 18, but you will probably see many choose a 3 metal.

He has been critical of Tiger in the past, but I think he must have gotten some flak about it, perhaps from Tiger himself, possibly from the network.

But that doesn't stop him from criticizing others. Yesterday, when Castro wasn't doing well on his second day, he had a ball near two sprinkler heads at greenside. He asked his playing partner, he gave his opinion, but finally called in an official to confirm the drop. Johnny said something to the effect that Castro should know the drop rule on that ... that it was one of the most straightforward drops in golf. The other announcer quickly said he wanted to be sure after Tiger's drop in the Masters. Miller was actually ridiculing the rookie.

I don't care much for Chamblee. He's way too arrogant for me. He acts like he's a well known golfer, but I'd never heard of him before he got on the Golf Channel. At least I'd heard of Johnny Miller.

And like clockwork, Sergio melts down in epic fashion on 17.

Btw, best season start ever for Tiger.

The commentators gave out a collective orgasm when he won.

Love the Sergio meltdown....

I normally wouldn't be so negative towards a player. But, after the MANY instences of him claiming, "the world is against him , it's the galleries fault, blah blah blah". Loved seeing the collapse. Case in point, his response during his closing interview after his round. "I'm not the bad guy, I'm the victim ". Not a Tiger fan, but I'd rather see him win than Sergio. Tiger is back to beast mode to boot.

I believe Tiger is currently ranked number 1 and has already won four tournaments this year. If he's average, then you'd expect roughly half of the pros to have done better...

I don't like either one. But I did enjoy the exchange between the two.

3WOOD. WOOD. Its a 3WOOD. Its always been a 3WOOD and should always be a 3WOOD.
Screw Miller and the other toolsheds who started this '3metal' crap back in the early 2000s.

Nobody says 'He is 170yards away, and he is using his 7-forged 1020 carbon steel.', even though that is what is used They say 'He is 170 yards away, and he is using his 7-iron.'

Its just such a stupid term change. God I friggin hate that term. If you are going to start calling clubs by what material they are made out of, go all in and actually do it for all clubs.

Who in their right mind tied for the lead messes with that pin on 17? Ol, Seve part deux. No reason to do that. Hit it in the middle and move on. I wouldn't call it choking, I would call it overly arrogant.

On tigger, that shot on 14 gives me doubts. However, the finishing stretch at Sawgrass is as hard as any place, and he outlasted everyone else while making a double. The dude finishes.

And Miller was busting tigers *** for the drop he took on 14. he thought it was borderline illegal. he doesn't pull any punches on tiger imo. Now maltbie blows tiger all day long.
