...this is exactly what Florida fans were thinking about the SEC championship after watching Bama barely escape the Iron Bowl.

Bama upfront? No. they played well at home against their archrival. Texas got dominated physically by a 9-3 team and escaped with the help of many questionable calls. IF Bama plays their best and Texas plays their best....Bama wins handily. I realize anything can happen.

they basically did it with only their 4 down linemen all night. Their secondary made McCoy their ***** for most of their night too. You know Saban has to be licking his chops after watching what NU's defense did to Texas. If NU wasn't saddled with what looked like a Croom offense on sedatives, they would have walked all over Texas.

....Bama should handle Texas, too. My point was that you can't make a prediction about how that game is going to go based on what happened in this game. One has nothing to do with the other.

And give Nebraska some credit. Their defense is unreal. You make it sound like they are a bunch of scrubs who played the game of their lives and was kept in this game by the refs. Nebraska is a top 25 team.

As good as Alabama's defense is, I don't think their defensive front is quite as good as Nebraska's.

He played the best game by a defensive lineman I have ever seen. If there ever was to be a purely defensive player win the Heisman Trophy (Charles Woodson doesn't count, he also played WR and returned kicks) Suh should be the guy. He was completely unstoppable. Definately the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft.

5 years since I've lived in Lincoln. KU and CU played better against NU than UT. I think NU's D is very good and their Dline is probably the best in the country. However, Bama has better defensive players at other positions and more depth. They also have a very good Oline, a good QB, and good RBs. IF Bama plays well this game will not be a contest. As I said, anything can happen and McCoy and Texas might play a great game. I also think the SEC is better than the Big 12, so all that points toward a big win for Bama. If UT wins, it won't hurt my feelings.

If Bama loses it will be a choke. I sort of hope Bama loses, but I don't see it. Maybe they will have players do stupid crap days before the game and not be able to take the pressure.

Also, Mark Ingram isn't Reggie Bush. Greg McElroy isn't Matt Leinart. I guess McClain is the same as Brian Cushing or Rey Maualuga.

Point is, that USC team was supposed to destroy Texas. Just like Oklahoma was supposed to destroy USC the year before that. You cannot count out the underdog in the NC. Hasn't number 2 won like the last 7 or 8 times?

especially against OU. I'm not saying they shouldn't play the game, just sayin' Bama should win it.

is for Ingram to win the Heisman. That statue has been the kiss of death this decade when the winner has played in the NC game.

They were still down after getting spanked in the 4th quarter by UF after thinking they were going to play for the NC. Utah came in wanting to prove that they deserved to be in the BCS. They proved it, but Bama did not play nearly as well as they were capable of playing.

I'm actually basing it on the last 2 games. Texas A&M ran all over Texas. I realize McElroy doesn't have the A&M QB's running ability but he has more offensive weapons. If Nebraska had any semblence of an offense we would be talking about TCU or Cincinnati in the BCS Championship. Nebraska's D line is incredible, but I believe Alabama's overall defense is better.

I just think that after watching those games last night TCU would be a better matchup

that good. Nevermind that they have only lost one game in two years and have NFL talent on their team just like Bama does....they are going to be destroyed by Bama. As far as TCU goes, they would probably make a good game for Bama as well.

nobody in the Big 12 is worth a damn. Kansas State finished 6-6 and 7-5 would've gotten them into the Big 12 title game. OU lost their best 2 players to injury for most of the season, Ok State was a shell of itself once Dez Bryant got suspended. Nobody else in that conference was even worth talking about.. and Nebraska had the game won last night. Like somebody said, Bama's best game beats Texas easily. I actually think TCU/Bama would be a better game than this one is going to be.

Kansas St. was 4-6 against I-A opponents and they were only one win away from the Big 12 title game.
