We definitely gave Gonzaga more fits than ay other team. Culver had a monster game with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Oscar had 14 points and 9 rebounds. Gabe even had 10 points in that game! Our big guys gave Gonzaga fits. Cottrell had 6 points. But if we played them now would it be the same? Hard to tell. We lost Oscar and Cottrell. We are a different team playing a different style of ball now. As much as Oscar didnt shine like a McDonalds All American should've, he was a big opposing force on the floor for anyone. It may not be the same kind of game now. Huggins did very good to rebuild the team in the middle of the season honestly. Losing 2 bigs on a Huggins team is a big deal, but he did well for it. Guys like McNeil and Taz really stepped up to help us maintain a pretty good season. Cuse just gave us fits. The 2-3 zone isnt something Huggs teams have ever done well against. It was a matchup nightmare for us, and their shooters were hot.
