is when Stricklin talks about reading twitter and seeing the buzz about the Miss Mississippipageants. Knowing that he actually read the comments of the fans and acted upon it is kind of cool to me.

For all the man-love for Greg Byrne, which he deserved, I think Stricklin is just as good. We've been very fortunate to have them both as AD moving into a new era for MSU.

I'll now admit that Veazey is a pretty good sport journalist, although I'm not ready to back Veazey as far as being a 'good Mississippi State beat writer' at the Clarion Ledger. He still found ways to sneak in some negative stuff (gun gate) when it wasn't necessary. Now, some of that might have been the editors, and even when Veazey's article was not anti-MSU, the headlines often were, and apparently that's on the editors, not Veazey.<div>
</div><div>Sekou was the best of them all, but that again might have been because he was at the Clarion Ledger during some of the better years in MSU athletics (Final Four, CWS, and the Sherrill glory years).</div>
