Yes, he did this to himself, but it makes it no less sad.

The players that used steroids had no idea how they would be perceived later, and I bet that if you told them what would ultimately happen, they wouldn't have done them, in most cases.

That's basically saying they are sorry for being busted and not for what they did. These guys know juicing is wrong. I have no doubt many of these players would never have juiced up had they known they would have been called out for it. Still doesn't make me feel sorry for anyone.

These guys knew exactly what they were doing and knew that it would be seen a cheating, no matter what they are saying now.

If I knew it was wrong and don't play the sport. I promise these guys knew the what the score would be if they got caught. I was a big Raffy fan but it is disgraceful what he did and I hate that it has tarnished his career. However, I don't feel sorry for him a bit, matter of fact, I a pretty disgusted by what he did.

what he does in private, etc. Of course he thought he would never get caught else he would not have done it. Nobody starts down a road that they know will end in a permanent disgrace. They start down the road thinking they will not get caught and therefore it won't matter. Save me all the crying for Raffy....I loved watching him play in the maroon and white and was always quick to mention his name when talking about MSU Baseball lore but I am much more hesitant now and I don't talk to my son about what a great person he is anymore...great ballplayer, hitter but that's where I stop. Believe me, I am not perfect and I know that all too well but I don't knowingly engage in perjury either!
