I thought the article on Boone was not quite as flattering although the CL seemed to be trying their best to make him come off as a funny, nice guy.

I was surprised by his comments on Kennedy, he was much nicer than I thought he would be about him. I assumed, and still do, that Kennedy will be gone as soon as the tournament is over.

On a side note, if the Hump leaked and we had to cancel a basketball game, I would not be for Stricklin joking about it on twitter. I would want to here his plan to make sure it never happened again.

I thought he would be gone for sure. Also, after hearing some of the rumors swirling around about him this weekend, I assumed he would not see another year.

Everyone I've talked to thinks its a slam dunk that he gets at least one more year.

It is a numbers game. They could also be the most losing nest coach as well. Stansbury is closing in on that honor as well I think. He has 145 plus loses.

curious to see yet another example of some coach other than MSU's gets Coach34's BS benefit of the doubt...

Horn coaches in a tougher division but through 3 years, I can qualify him as similar to stans... But, dammit, I won't have that to rely on next year.

Pelphrey has a great recruiting class coming in so that gives him another year or 3.

Kennedy is TSUN's all time wins leader but they are worse historically than MSU so that makes him better. Does that make TSUN easier to win at (in football) than Auburn, UGA or other SEC programs that weren't as successful during the 60s???

I've never said that The Recruiter hasnt done a good job at State overall with making us a consistent program. I just dont think 2 NCAA's the last 6 seasons after this weekend is good enough for him to keep his job- we should expect better than that

I just find it ridiculous that some of you act likeits not possibleother coaches out there couldnt come in and do an even better job.

The funny thing is that I do not even believe that Stans is a "done nothing wrong coach that should be here forever". Its just that your arguments are so idiotic, it makes me like Stans more by the second.

Why can you just not admit that your Stans' hatred is obsessed and has, many times over the years, been proven to be incredibly stupid. Yet, you will not admit to it

So Knight thinks Stanbury has underachieved more than Patrick at TT? That's about right.

seeing as how he couldn't get IU past the first weekend his last six years there.

And when did Gottlieb become spokesman for "the national media?"

I don't think many. May be one or two made a year or so in the NBA. He has won a lot of games with out NBA talent. He find guys that no body else recruits and he wins with them. This year could be his best ever recruiting class and this is after 12 years. Hate him or love him he has won a lot of games with guys no body else wanted when he got them. I give him slack for this season. He had a lot of crap go on you can argue it was his fault but in my opinion he has earn the right to have another season.

In the Boon article he basically says that people don't know him and that read him wrong. Let that sink in.

Greg Byrne was a communications guy. All his success was built around communication. Grasshopper is doing the same thing.

And the counterpart up north after years in office says people don't know him.

And that's the difference between the two athletic programs. Where communication is a critical skill, our guys have mastered that art while the guy up north is failing miserably at it.

Was where he talked about getting all the teams on top of their sports before he would step down. I think that is great news because it almost guarantees that he will be the AD for eternity.
