Good ending to a bad season?

Nafoom and Spirit show the Rebels in their annual tirade about how their team falls apart at the end of the season. Anyone know how bad losing the series hurt them and their chances for a national seed?

and then the APR thing, and now this baseball disaster, been a tough week. Hope Khyat doesn't find that letter he has been hiding for years now.

The way I looked at it, we needed to win 6 more games for a national seed, 3 to host. With these losses though, it may be 7 and 4. Basically we'll have to win out just about to have a shot at a national seed, and to host I think we'll have to win the series at Arkansas AND do some damage in the SEC tourney.

like win the SEC championship. If we win tomorrow and they lose the series to Arkansas, they most likely won't host at all.

They are trying to steal your regional. East Carolina and Oklahoma are finishing up strong as well. Ole Miss looks like 17th right now.

so they've got that going for them. Which is nice. And apparently their camo hats= our maroon pants in football. (and by that I mean: does correlation=causation? On the internet, you bet your *** it does)

I can't see the SEC getting 5 hosts, but Georgia is screwing themselves far more than ole miss.

I think Ole Miss will really have to come unglued to lose the host.

Still 2 weeks and 1 game to play, but you're right. I feel like if we win 3 more in the regular season and 1 or 2 in the SEC tourney, that should be enough. 2 more in the regular season, and we have to do a little bit more in the SEC tourney.

As I said, the plus side of us having to travel is that our players can't go out and party the night before a game. They do that **** way too much when we're at home.

Yep, UGA has lost 8 straight (7 straight SEC games). We're on a 2 game losing streak. We still have a chance to recover. UGA is starting to look like our 2002 team that went 2-10 over the final 4 weeks to go from No. 4 in the country to not in the SEC or NCAA tourneys.

4 wins the rest of the way and you are a solid host. 3 may do it.

The kicker is Kansas State. They will probably be the team that gets the annual "We're proud of you for having a great season after sucking forever" feelgood host.

Solid National Seeds
North Carolina
Texas
Georgia Tech
Arizona State
Fullerton

Solid Hosts
Clemson
Florida
Miami
Rice
LSU (most possible national seed)

Probable Hosts
Virginia
Arkansas
Florida State
Texas A&M

On the Bubble (for 2 spots, possibly hosting UC Irvine and TCU as 2 seeds)
Ole Miss (TCU?)
Kansas State (best candidate for UC Irvine)
Georgia
Oklahoma (TCU?)
East Carolina
Alabama (TCU?)
Coastal Carolina

Right now, I'd lean with K-State and Alabama getting the last two hosts, but that could change in a couple of weeks.

Our 2007 team reminded me a little bit of that team, with the exception being that we had Scott Bittle to throw out there on the last day of the regular season in a tight game to carry us to a win so that we didn't completely choke our way out of the SEC and NCAA tourneys.

The other part that still irks me about that weekend was when your official scorer ruled an error on a hit by Chad Sterbens when one of your outfielders missed a diving catch attempt. Sterbens hit safely in 29 of 30 SEC games that year, and it would've been 30 of 30 if not for the scorer screwing him out of that hit to help keep him from having the season long SEC hitting streak.
