For those who went to the game, how did you enjoy the atmosphere at the stadium? How were you treated by Vol fans?

Best of luck in 2017! You have a good coach and have a lot to look forward to.
Thanks. Good game. Your DE is a stud. Reminds me when we had a Suh constantly getting in the backfield disrupting every play.

Barnett? Is a player, poor tacking and bad line play on both sides of the ball and questionable play calling but at least they cut it to 7 with 5.minutes to go,great game rocky top.

Sorry that what you got from Nebraska was what you got from Nebraska. Maybe someday we'll be a formidable opponent again.

I like the coach you have now, but I think an interesting hire would be the Navy coach. The offense he runs would make your team a different kind of animal in the Big Ten. You could add a tough OL that you had during the Tom Osborne days too. If you keep winning with him, he'd have no problem adding a top notch defensive coordinator.

That ship has sailed. We're going to run the offense that Mike Riley wants to run. That's only a problem now because NU doesn't have the QBs to run it. So NU has been living in football purgatory the past two seasons. NU needs to upgrade their interior lines, for sure - they also need a QB that is built to run Riley's offense. Tommy Armstrong is a great athlete and would be a terrific QB in a lot of systems - just not Riley's. Ryker Fyfe should be given credit for his commitment and his effort - but he should have never taken a snap in an FBS game (yet he started 3 games at Nebraska).

Just got back from the game. NU pulled within 7 and needed a stop on 3rd and 5 (or so). Your QB ran for a first down and that was the game. I sat in a section of about 50% UT fans. Classy fans every one and also several I spoke with one my way out. No gloating or crowing. Led me to believe your fans understand the game, enjoy the game, but keep it in perspective, which is how I hope most of our fans look at it.

Not sure why anyone thinks this gets better - pretty much all the play makers today for Nebraska are seniors or did not play and will be gone as seniors. I know we all hope QB play gets better but I am not sold Banker's D can improve from here (and we don't have alot of help being added at this time). With next year's schedule - we are going to struggle to get back to 9 wins.

Need a huge influx of talent at D end and LB. Not a Banker fan, but without playmakers, it's hard to be aggressive on D

I live in Memphis but born in Nebraska. I know how SEC football can be (really nasty), so I was happy with the Vol fans for the most part. I expected a bunch of people drinking and obnoxiousness. So I saw that and just ignored it. I was also prepared for a ton of nastiness, so not having too much of that was great.
Happy with not getting too embarrassed on the field also.
I knew we were going to lose, it was just a matter of how badly.
Congrats on your revenge of the 90's.
I am happy it wasn't too bad.
Hope we can play again soon!

One of my favorite games of all time was the national title game between Nebraska and Florida (Osborne vs Spurrier) that ended in a 62-24 victory for the Huskers.

If Riley leaves soon, I'd like to see the coach of Navy or even Paul Johnson of Georgia Tech take over for you and make it a power running offense. Scott Frost would make another good coach for you as well.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. Hopefully we can have a Lincoln and Knoxville series at some point.
