Looks like the SEC is going to 10 game all conference season.

Good news is that we get Vanderbilt.
Bad news is that we get Georgia as well.

Vanderbilt will be in Starkville, Georgia will be in Athens. 2021 we will go to Vanderbilt and 2022 will host Georgia

BAMA: UF, VU
AU: SC, MU
ARK: UG, SC
LSU: UK, UT
MSU: VU, UG

TAMU: MU, UF

UF: BAMA, TAMU
UG: ARK, MSU
UK: LSU, OM
MU: TAMU, AU
SC: AU, ARK

I would think it would be Georgia at home, Vanderbilt away, and then move the 2023-25 opponents to 2021-23. I don't see Dellenger saying otherwise or even that these are anything beyond a possibility.

Makes no sense to give us Vandy and Georgia now and then play them again the next 2 years.

He’ll beat A&M

He’s a better coach than Jimbo and the talent is probably equal.

Probably reasonably fair except for Auburn getting Mizzou and USCe is a pretty good draw and UF getting Bama & A&M is probably a little harsh, depending on how A&M ends up being.

Going to be fewer games, but definitely a lot more marquee matchups. This is going to be an even better deal for ESPN if all the games get played.

I like it. I wish we got one warm up against a joke team, but I have zero interest in watching us play multiple cupcakes a year. I hate the argument that four easy wins is better for our bowl chances. I understand the extra month of practice is nice for building programs, but it still feels like a participation trophy and those cupcake games are boring to watch.

Having an East Schedule of KY, MZ, Vandy, & UGA is about the best you could hope for.

Florida got the worst end of it with Bama & TAMU, but UGA had to already play Auburn & Bama this year, so it actually seems kind of fair

I enjoy watching State score touchdowns
Therefore I enjoy the cupcake games.
I know they’re meaningless in the long run and probably get me too wooly early on but I just love watching State score touchdowns

One good thing - the start date of play is Sept 26, so the weather should be much more pleasant than late August.

Where are you seeing this? He just tweeted 3 minutes ago that the additional 2 games aren't known yet.

That's surprising. I expected an earlier start to give more possible make up weeks.

Sucks for the small schools though. Plenty of them supply part/all of that athletic budget from these away games with P5 conferences.

ULM was due to make $3.2 Million by playing Arkansas and Georgia this year. That's 1/5 of their entire athletic department budget.

I am shocked at how many small schools cancelled football early. I guess they can probably save a good chunk of their budget also, but I would have at least tried to make the P5 schools terminate first to get some money out of them.

I agree to an extent. I enjoy the bowl games and if we have to play some cupcakes to get there... okay fine. However, its a tough go watching us play Abilene Christian in late October/November.

How is just playing in conference the right thing to do because of corona? I don't get it.

It all comes down to revenues and health issues. SEC taking financial care of the family that could be considered selfish. It could also be about keeping the covid19 in the family that could be considered selfless.

Seems like it would make more sense to play the ‘24 and ‘25 cross division opponents and then re-start the calendar 2 years early, no? Then you don’t have to completely re-do the ‘21-23 calendars as well.

Hoping this will help us move to 9 SEC games. I like moving thru the East faster. I want to hit all 13 SEC stadiums that are worth going to. Currently need 5: UK, USCe, Mizz, UF and Arky (want to do a Fayetteville year, not LR).

Refuse to ever step foot in reb-town again.

Plus, would be nice to try again to beat Doug Muffins. Even if doing it this year would always be the “Oh that’s ‘rona year, doesn’t count.”

Losing to them in ‘18 still pisses me off.

I know December and January are still a good ways off BUT, do any really think we have a full Bowl season?
I don’t see any Bowls happening other than maybe a 4, 8 or 16 team playoff.
16 would make the 2 teams standing last play a total of 14 right?
Who would travel right now to Miami or Tampa or Phoenix for a bowl game ?
Pretty sure I wouldn’t.
