So they'll do that $99 for current customers? I need to get on a better package than I'm on now.

they only do it for new customers or those that want to upgrade from just having regular cable. But I don't mind calling 10 times and on the 10th time, I got someone who for some reason said I could get the deal. I have a sick infatuation with getting the best deal Comcast has. 8dog can attest to that.

All I really need is Saints and college sports which comcast provides. Everything else is gravy.

I have every channel they have to offer which includes new extra sports programming in the 700's including some channels solely devoted to college. I know satellites already had this. They have about 50 HD channels which is a good number for me because the other **** that isn't I dont watch anyway. And my only quip with Comcast is being resolved this year in that they will have NFL network in time for the season. Internet is way better via comcast that DSL so that's a win.

having to call them every month to remind them you are on the $99 plan, not the $170 one like they are billing you for. Or at least that's how it was with me. Have they gone back to the old dvr/guide format they had or are they still stuck on that ugly *** 1980s looking **** they rolled out last year?

Before I had the sports programming, I had all digital channels and HD channels except for that, because I got the package before those were offered. It pissed me off that I didn't have NFLHD in my HD programming when I had it while in Starkville for nothing extra.

It's all good now. And the people that do not have the sports programming will get NFL before the season starts

I still don't understand the switch. I still remember reading in the CL that they were going to move back to a guide more similar to the old (better) one. Of course that was never going to happen. They just did it to keep people like me from calling them up and chewing them out over it. No idea why they did that. I can only guess it was cheaper for them.

Just thinking about that damn guide makes me want to switch to satellite.

........not getting 5.1 audio cutouts once in a while. Of course there's also the varying resolution quality between channels that makes you squint your eyes at some channels and feel like you have 20/20 vision watching others. Oh, and "Channel 1 On Demand" sux donkey dick. What a joke, and that's their idea of how Comcast HD "choices" are better than what satellite has to offer. I suppose it's fine though as long as you don't mind emptying your wallet to watch one stinking movie.
