Eat at Grumpy's. It's on 182, just down the hill from the jail. It's a barbecue joint, but pretty much anything you get there is good.<div>
</div><div>Also, if you're there at lunchtime, Restaurant Tyler (right across from Mugshots) is a great place to get a plate lunch. As is The Veranda. They're good at supper too, of course, but pretty damned expensive.</div><div>
</div><div>Little Dooey has to be the most polarizing restaurant in the SEC- but if you liked it then, you'll like it now. (As for my opinion, it's run-of-the-mill Q, but the sides are all really good and the portions are pretty generous.)</div>

The last several years the quality had gone south, especially with mass-produced BBQ sauce. Last year, they seemed their old (old-school) self. BBQ sauce tasted homemade and the baked beans has that faint beer taste. mmm good

Tried Grumpy's last football season too. It is very good except...the BBQ sauce, which is to say Grumpy's sucked. In BBQ schools of thought, there are completely different styles of BBQ sauce. The most common one in the south is similar to Dooey's - that sweet smoky style. But Grumpy's is that watery orange-ish vinegary blasphemy. Its just turrible.

Didn't try the other stuff on Grumpy's menu, but stuff other people were eating looked good.

Crying shame, that Grumpy's. Maybe next time, I'll stop at Kroger first for some KC Masterpiece sauce. That that KC Masterpiece is great, but the **** Grumpy's serves just spoils the plate,.

In old Borden's Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk factory building.

Been there four or five times now and good food every time.

My brother in law makes a mean smoked brisket and nice boston butt. He lives down the street from Coach Mullen, so just pull past the guard house and start asking or follow your nose.
