Bulldogs gonna play hard next year..

Steele was honest in looking back on the 2011-12 season and the
opportunities that were missed, admitting the Bulldogs were talented
enough to reach the Sweet 16 but they got in their own way of achieving
their goals. He simply said ‘it is a breath of fresh air’ to have
players leave the program. The drama is gone and he is ready to take
advantage of his opportunity.
“First of all, he is going to express defense,” he said. “He said if
you’re not going to play defense, then you’re not going to play. Right
then I was like, he’s serious about this.”

I like what I am hearing so far from Coach Ray......

jokingly referred to him as Black Bob Wetlich in a post a couple of weeks ago and I may not be too far off.

Like everyone else, my first reaction was who? But everything I've heard about him and seen from him makes me think we made a much better hire than a lot of people are giving us credit for. Like he said in his first press conference, all I know how to do is win. And they've won everywhere he's been. I think he's exactlythe kind of coachour program needed.

But when Ray was at Indiana St. they won their only conference title since Larry Bird was there. At Northern Illinois they won their first conference title in 20 years. And at Purdue they won 25 games for the first time in 11 years and then won 27 the next year. Every program he's been at had gotten better until last season. And even at Clemson they went to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament for the first time in 14 years his first year there.
