I like Nachos and the NBA doesn't

Moultrie is No. 17 Mississippi State's best frontcourt player by far,
even though Sidney is the most talented. Which one of these guys do you
think will be drafted in 2012 if they choose to enter? That's an easy
call.<div style="overflow: hidden; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-align: left; text-decoration: none; border: medium none;">
</div>Parrish: "I assure you this: I'm 34 years old, and if somebody told
me, 'Gary, if you can get down to 150 pounds a year from today, we will
give you a guaranteed contract worth $3 million,' I'd do it. I'd figure
out a way to do it. I'd eat salads every day, I'd never drink another
beer. I'd just figure out a way to do it. Then it's literally his
situation, and yet he's never been able to do it, and that to me
suggests, again, he might be just wired that way, built that way. But it
suggests a discipline problem on some level, and when you combine it
with everything else we know about him, it shouldn't be surprising."

I'm serious. I remember reading that tennis great Andre Agassi went through a period were he hated tennis. Hated playing it, hated practicing it, hated everything about it. But since that was all he'd done since he was a kid he didn't know what else to do.

There is no other explanation for Sidney in my mind. If nothing motivates you, even millions of dollars, then you just don't like it deep down.

he plays because its all he knows, he never looks like he's enjoying himself<div>

At this point, Sid is more likely to end up like Donte Walker.

I can't help but root for him to get his act together because I am sure it is tough for anyone to have so much scrutiny on every little thing you do. He brought it all on himself though and he has just got to find a way to deal with it. I do applaud the way he seems to have handled his reduced role so far this season. Seeing Moultrie work his *** off and maybe get drafted this year is a good motivator for him to come back next year and do the same thing.

wouldn't be the first story of a preternaturally gifted kid who is pushed, cajoled, coddled, driven to do a certain thing, and then he just ends up hating it even though he could be a multi-millionaire because of it.

What other college basketball player barely averages 20 minutes a game & asks for less? That's unheard of.

Just from his actions I've seen on TV & in person at games, I'd say he's a 13 year old trapped in the body of an overgrown, lazy college kid. It's like he never mentally matured past grade school.

all the time this summer in Houston with Lucas along with going back out there again during our Euro trip and apparently has nothing to show for it basketball wise. While it may have helped him attitude wise, learning to be a teammate and controlling his temper, so far he is not even as big a factor for us on the court this year as last year and his conditioning is only maybe marginally better but I'm not even sure about that. He's not a very good advertisement if Lucas plans on getting any more players to work with him in the future.

He just gets given it, as if he is somehow entitled. By the time he and the entourage of enablers surrounding him figure out that the gravy train has reached the end of the line, he will be useless and his entouraare will scramble for the exits and leave his worthless *** standing there blinking.

His conditioning and weight gets all the pub like that's his only problem. Having "raw talent" doesn't make someone a good basketball player....and right now Sidney is just an average college basketball player, in shape or not. Now, maybe he can't/doesn't focus on improving his game because he's too busy "trying" to get in shape, but let's not act like all he has to do is get in shape and he's an All-American. If that was the case he would have more of an impact in the 20 minutes a game he plays. He still has to work to improve his game like Moultrie apparently did over the last year. Unless Sidney makes a turnaround worthy of an ESPN documentary, I don't forsee his future being anything more than a player who never improved his skills after the 10th grade, got fat and just ended up spending a couple years oversees playing ball before moving on with life.

Unlike some though, I would much rather be wrong and he turn it around for the good of Our Team and his future than me be right.

him around Balis? His head would explode in 2 minutes. Actually both their heads would explode in two minutes.

If I were Sidney, and I read stuff like this here and everywhere about me, it would piss me off and I would be bound and determined to prove everyone wrong. And then I'd let everybody know about it. I wonder if even that motivates him.
